ThruWave to present an Emerging Technology session at MODEX 2022
It's official. ThruWave Founder Matt Reynolds will be presenting a live education session in the Emerging Technologies Theatre on the show floor of the MODEX next Spring.
In 2021, ThruWave's 3D mmWave Imaging solution was awarded the MHI Innovation Award for Best New Innovation. In 2022, we will be bringing this innovative technology live to the MODEX show floor with a live demonstration in booth B7052 and as an education session for emerging technology in the supply chain. The session overview is below and you can also find information on the ThruWave session on the MODEX website.
Re-invent Supply Chain Inspection with Real-Time, High-Speed 3D mmWave Imaging.
How to detect SKU errors, damage and fraud through closed containers.

SESSION INFORMATON
Re-invent Supply Chain Inspection with Real-Time, High-Speed 3D mmWave Imaging.
How to detect SKU errors, damage and fraud through closed containers.
What is 3D mmWave imaging and how can it help supply chain inspection?
From manufacturing through fulfillment, today’s supply chain requires increased visibility to ensure accuracy and quality. ThruWave has now expanded that visibility to see and inspect inside of sealed containers, cartons, and totes when moving on high-speed conveyors, up to 600 ft/min, to analyze and report costly anomalies. Human-safe 3D mmWave imaging technology can identify damaged, fraudulent, or incorrect items in the supply chain to give operators real-time visibility to internal risks.
Comparing sensing and inspection technologies for Supply Chain, including 3D mmWave Imaging
This seminar will compare the key sensing technologies for capturing package and tote-level data in real time, including vision systems, check-weighers, X-ray, and newly available 3D millimeter wave sensors that image items through opaque packaging. We will explain the physics of these sensors, explain their benefits and limitations, and show how ThruWave’s 3D mmWave imaging system can be used to automatically detect anomalies, reduce costs, and increase quality control.
Key Takeaways
1. How to optimize shipping efficiency or detect costly hidden errors such as incorrect item count, damaged goods, or fraud in the supply chain using 3D millimeter-wave imaging for inspection.
2. How to increase audit sampling from manual spot checking to 100% of product with automated 3D mmWave inspection
